Explainer Video: What is a Living Lab?
What actually is a Living Lab?
THE CONCEPT: Here in Loop Head Together – we have put together our own short video to help explain and simplify the concept of the Soilcrates Living Lab – just to help everyone understand it and why it is important to become a member regardless of your level of participation.
There will be many opportunities for learnings.
Living Lab is primarily about sharing information, learning from one another and the rolling out of real life trials for sustainable farming practices.
It is important to note that joining the Living Lab doesn’t mean you have to be involved in trials, you can very much just follow along and learn from each other. You can be a member of the general public, a farmer of course, a school, a tidy towns organisation etc
But if you are a farmer who wants to actively participate in trials, there will be more than one opportunity to do this. If you are a member of the Living Lab, you will be kept informed of everything as we go - you can get involved in the discussions, the co-creation of projects and if you want, you can apply for trials that might suit the specific challenge you’d like to explore.
NB: If your application for trials is not selected in the first round there will be other opportunities to apply over the duration of the Living Lab.
Would you like to me an overall, everyday member of the Soilcrates Living Lab?
